If you have something against swimming pools, see all the Hotels in the Khaosan area.
The category of prices mentioned on this page :
- Budget : Less than 2000 Baht. Most of them around 1000 Baht.
- Middle range : Less than 3000 Baht.
- Upper scale price : Above 3000 Baht.
Why a Swimming-Pool?
Because there are hundreds of Budget hotels in the Khaosan area and I had to concentrate on something. A hotel with a swimming pool doesn’t mean it is better than others, but it’s usually bigger, with more services and it has a swimming pool.
It is hot in the Khaosan so refreshing oneself inside water is nice.
It’s also good to do some sports during your vacation, but for that you will actually need to swim in the pool.
Notes :
- Some Hotels are called: Guest House, Hostel, Lodge, Inn, Resort, Plaza, Village and even Palace. Sorry, but I don’t know what is the difference between them.
- Single rooms: There are not a lot of single rooms in the hotels. Sometimes you just need to take a regular double room. Prices are attractive anyway in Thailand, so don’t complain.
- In some cases, the pool is on the roof of the hotel.
- Some of the hotels mentioned on this page, are not budget but more upscale like : Hotel Baan Chart, Riva Surya, Navalai River Resort and Ibis (The hotels by the river are more expensive). The Budget hotels are quite fine, in my opinion.
- There is a difference of price between the low and high season, usually around 20 %.

So here are the hotels that also have a swimming-pool :
In the Khaosan road itself :
The Khaosan Road is noisy at night, so the peace you get depends on the side of your room and the window insulation.

New Siam Palace Ville
This hotel could be your “default” for a budget price. It is good enough in everything.
- Quiet : Unlike most of the hotels in the Khaosan area, this hotel is located in a quiet alley, so you won’t have noise, at least not external one.
- Central : You just get out of the alley and you are in the Rambuttri walking street and a few more steps and you are in the Khaosan Road itself.
- New : This hotel was opened during 2015 and expanded in 2016, so all the equipment is new. You can’t say that about the other hotels in the Khaosan area.
- There is nothing missing : safe box, wifi, cable tv, small refrigerator, swimming pool.
This hotel is of the “efficient” type, it is a big building with lots of rooms. Don’t expect a chalet in the Swiss mountains. It is a good choice for the Khaosan area.

Phra Athit street by the river :
These hotels are right on the Chao Phraya river, there are rooms with river view, they are more expensive. The noise depends on the side of your room.
