On this page I am stating other great Vegetarian options in Tel-Aviv, except the obvious choices of Falafel (+ Sabih), Hummus and Pizza.
1. Meshek Barzilay
This restaurant is connected to a Moshav (village) where they grow some of the products that they sell at the restaurant.
The place is Vegan and excellent. You can choose food by weight or by fixed menu. There are Salads and cooked dishes. There is also some Vegan bakery.
There are tables on the outside and it looks like a garden. Very cool.
The location is in the trendy street Shabazi, south Tel-Aviv.
There is even a corner with free water.
If you will not take too much food, it will be cheaper than the alternatives in Tel-Aviv.
How to get there ?
- Address : Ahad Ha’Am St 6, Tel Aviv-Yafo.
- See on Google Map.
2. Market Vegan Restaurant
A great restaurant with healthy and tasty cooked dishes, among them Couscous !
There are no waiters, you take your food to a table inside or outside. There is also free water. I usually take the Couscous but they have an interesting variety of asiatic dishes with rice and also salads.
Here is the famous Couscous :

3. Food bazaar – Dizengoff Center
Each Friday, there is a “Home food market” in the mall “Dizengoff Center”.
There are stands that serve hot dishes like Couscous. It is for “take away”, so you have to take your plastic plate and find a place to sit in the busy mall, or maybe go to the nearby park “Gan Meir”. You will find here many styles of food and many Vegetarian options.
Notes :
- Dizengoff Center has two parts and the market is located in one of them.
- On Fridays, businesses are closing at around 14:00 and that includes the mall.
I recommend the Druze stand, with their special Pita bread.
You can choose for your “Druze pita” very tasty ingredients :

4. Goodness – Veg burger and more
They serve Vegan Burgers and Vegan Hot-Dogs and other Veg dishes based on Seitan and Soja. It is tasty.
The place is very popular, also in the evening. There are waiters.
The only downside of the place, is the price. It is not especially expensive compared to other restaurants but a Veg hotdog will cost you more than the double price of a Falafel (not to mention the Tip to the waiter) and I know in Europe much cheaper Veg hot dogs.

- Close to Dizengoff center

5. Rainbow
They are competitors to Goodness. They serve Veg Burgers and alike. Good quality and tasty.
Here there are no waiters but it is still too expensive for fast food.

6. Tal Bagel
You know what is a Bagel, right ?
Tal Bagel are excellent and they are located near the Sinematech in Tel-Aviv. No waiters and relatively cheap prices. Many Vegetarian choices. Tables inside and outside. Free water.
First you choose your Bagel. There is one that is whole grain.
Then you choose your ingredients. There is for example egg salad, which is very popular. They give you also lettuce and tomato and olives.
It looks like this

7. The Carmel Market
This is a very cool place for eating a Veg plate. Not too long ago, the Carmel market was just a place for buying groceries but now it has become also a place to drink a beer and eat a cooked dish.
There are a lot of stands selling cooked dishes and some of the dishes are Vegetarian.
You can choose between Mexican food, Thai food, Greek and many more.
In some places you can sit, in some places there are even waiters. The market is especially crowded on Fridays mornings. The Market is only active during daytime.

Cafeterias -Veg dishes
There are many Cafeterias in Tel-Aviv. Among them Arcaffe and Aroma which are big chains. You can find in these cafeterias many Vegetarian salads and sandwiches.
