Ice-Creams in Tel-Aviv
There are now good ice-creams in Tel-Aviv. In fact, Israelis are so in love with ice-creams that in some cases ice-creams branches have taken the place of famous coffee chains. So if you want to sit and drink a Cappuccino in Tel-Aviv, you may need to do it inside a Golda Ice-Cream branch.
I am eating every day 1 ice-cream or 2 in Tel-Aviv, so I permit myself to rank the best ones in Tel-Aviv. Beside each one, I put also a Google Map link, so you can see the location and also the reviews given by customers.
Note, while you wait for your ice-cream in Tel-Aviv :
- Israelis don’t wait in a straight line, they don’t understand the concept of a queue.
- Israelis (also Americans) like to taste some ice cream flavors before making their final choice. It takes time.
1. Arte Italian Ice Cream
They are a real Italian family and this gelateria is number 1 in Tel-Aviv. The location is also excellent, in the Nahalat-Binyamin walking street. This area is animated also at night.
There are a lot of exotic flavors, but I recommend the Chocolate – Orange, a classic one. If you want to try special flavors, they have names like : Variegato Amarena, Donna Elena, Cake of the Duke, Bread and Butter and more.
There are also excellent Vegan flavors like Pistachio and Limone.
A bonus in this Gelateria : They have Granita like in Italy. One flavor of granita is “Lemon Campari” and it is gorgeous.
Another Bonus : They sometimes organize a live band (Jazz) just in front of the Gelateria.

2. Paradiso del Gelato
They are also Italian (like Arte). As far as I know these are the only 2 authentic Italians in Tel-Aviv. The other Gelaterias wish they were Italian, but the owners only went to do courses in Italy, as they explained to me.
Anyway, Paradiso del Gelato are excellent. Try the Pistachio and the Coconut flavors, they are great.
The location of this Gelateria is central in Tel-Aviv but the street is not very animated and at night it is deserted, so if you will come here in the evening you will have all the ice-creams for yourself.

3. Pinoli Gelato
They are located right in Dizengoff square, the most central point in Tel-Aviv. If you buy your ice-cream here, you can eat it beside the fountain.
The ice-cream is tasty. The name Pinoli means Pine Nut and indeed this gelateria has a lot of flavors that have to do with seeds and nuts. Pistachio and Halva for example. My favorite flavor here is : “Belgium Chocolate”.

The Ice-Creams chains in Tel-Aviv
Golda
They are the chain of ice-creams number 1 in Israel. There are now hundreds of branches of Golda in Israel and Israelis like them.
There are a lot of flavors and even a monthly “surprise flavor” that you are supposed to discover only after you taste it. My preferred flavor at Golda is the Limon.
At Golda, they serve also Yogurt ice-cream with real fruits and a variety of nuts.

Anita
Anita belongs to Golda or Golda belongs to Anita, they have the same owners and the ice-cream is similar. The only difference I spotted is that in Anita they have a Mint flavor and in Golda no.
Anita has opened branches abroad, there is one in Barcelona in Gracia neighborhood and it has success.

Otello
They are not as big as Golda, they have only a few branches in Tel-Aviv. The ice cream is good. At Otello, they have a fountain with liquid chocolate and the vendor put from it inside your cone. Cool.
